Answer: It consists of pennies, zinc washers or shaved pennies, paper or cardboard, which has to be soaked in salt .

Answer: You first have to put the copper, zinc, salt and repeat the same process.

Answer: Thanks for asking, yes it does have to be from specific years, from 1982 forward.

Answer: Yes, vinegar.

Answer: You put electrical tape nicely around the entire penny battery to hold it.
7)Question: If wanted to add an LED how would you place it?

Answer: Before you add electrical tape to hold all the pennies in one place, put one part of the metal string underneath and the other end on top of the penny battery, and then finally add tape to assemble it all together.

Answer: Yes, you can use wires to connect to the penny battery, a switch and the LED.
